Explore the original sit-com! Commedia is a fun and energetic theatre style that blends improv and mask performance that began in 16th century Italy and inspired the sitcoms you love today. Using masks that represent different stock “types”—such as the Lover, the Clown, and the Brave Capitano—students will build a knowledge of the performance style while improvising and creating funny scenes as an ensemble.

Exploratory Classes focus on developing core artistic skills and connecting with a supportive artistic community. These classes dive into the foundations of various art forms, the essential practices that benefit artists at every stage of their journey. Whether you’re trying something new or revisiting the basics to deepen your craft, these classes are designed to be taken again and again. These classes require very little work outside of class.
