Music Fundamentals: The Beatles - Technique: Tuesdays, 12:30 PM-2:00 PM

“Come together” and uncover the secrets of music in this interactive music theory class, using the songs of the Beatles as our guide! We’ll explore the fundamentals of notation, rhythm, harmony, and musical form by listening to and learning from some of the most iconic tracks in pop history. Learn how to read music, build chords, understand scales and keys, and recognize song structures, all through the lens of melodies you already know and love. With engaging listening activities and hands-on exercises, you’ll train your ear and gain practical tools to better understand how music works. This class is perfect for students in Rock Ensemble and Mixed Ensemble, and for anyone who wants to deepen their musical knowledge while exploring the timeless music of the Beatles.

Registration Requirements: This is a technique level class. In order to register for the class, students must have already taken a Music class at least once OR must request permission from the instructor prior to registering.
