Students will work together to create spontaneous—and often funny—original scenes.

Description

Dance in new and unexpected ways! This class uses the DanceAbility method to explore the basic principles of movement invention including sensation, relationship, and time while honoring everyone’s unique movement language. Class time will include activities/exercises dancing in a group and building relationships with other dancers through space, movement and intention. This class is open to students with and without dance experience. Students with mobility limitations that would like to dance are encouraged to take this class. Students of all physical abilities are welcome.

Exploratory Classes focus on developing core artistic skills and connecting with a supportive artistic community. These classes dive into the foundations of various art forms, the essential practices that benefit artists at every stage of their journey. Whether you’re trying something new or revisiting the basics to deepen your craft, these classes are designed to be taken again and again. These classes require very little work outside of class.
