Art & Poetry: Tuesdays, 12:45 PM-2:00 PM

Bring words and images together in this creative, interdisciplinary class! Students will explore how poetry can inspire visual art and how artwork can give new life to poems. Class time will include playful prompts, discovering the power of metaphor, and hands-on creation using a variety of visual mediums such as drawing, painting, collage, and mixed media. We’ll experiment with ways to translate imagery, emotion, and rhythm from poetry into visual form, and share our work in a supportive, collaborative environment. Perfect for anyone who loves words, visual art, and discovering new ways to tell stories.
