Filmmaking: Sketch Comedy: Wednesdays, 10:45 AM-12:00 PM

Lights, camera, laughter! In this class you’ll learn the basics of filmmaking by shooting your own SNL-style comedy sketches. You’ll focus on staging scenes, framing shots, capturing performances, and working together as a production team. Explore visual timing, camera angles, blocking, and simple lighting through character-driven comedy. We’ll rehearse, shoot, and re-shoot to get the perfect take. Perfect for anyone who loves to laugh and wants hands-on experience making funny moments happen on screen! This class collaborates with Sketch Comedy who will help write, and possibly perform, in sketches. Students interested in experiencing the full process, from writing to performance, are encouraged to register for both classes.
