Description
See your play performed in a staged reading! Students in this class will each write their own 10-minute play. At the end of term, there will be a staged reading showcase with professional actors performing students’ plays. This class will build technical skills including crafting believable characters, plotting, dialog writing, and editing. Students should come to class ready to share their work and participate in feedback sessions with other playwrights. This class will have weekly out-of-class writing assignments. This class is hybrid, meaning students can choose to attend in-person or online. Students who choose to come in person must agree to comply with PHAME’s in-person safety protocols.

Prerequisites
Registration Requirements: This is a technique level class. Must have taken a Writing class, Scene Study, or Sketch Comedy at least once OR request instructor permission.
